He wanted his chin a little longer, anything that we can add to the character.” Throughout the featurette, Depp appears unrecognizable as Ebenezer Scrooge. Wearing an old black coat and hat, the actor portrays his character’s grumpiness through mockery and scowling expressions. In the video, various cast and crew members also praised the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s dedication to bringing the character to life. The Big Bang Theory’s Chuck Lorre Throws Shade at Anna Faris for Exiting Popular TV Show

Credits: Dimension Films Chuck Lorre has something to say about Anna Faris‘ departure from Mom. The mastermind behind The Big Bang Theory took to his new memoir, Sitcom, to throw shade at the actress for exiting his popular television show ahead of season 8. She had played the lead role of Christy Plunkett in the series from 2013 to 2020. In his book, Lorre revealed that he initially had reservations about bringing Faris on board his project. He then added, per E! News, “As the years went by, it became apparent that my initial reluctance to hire Anna was, in fact, correct. After six years, she left the show for mysterious reasons that were not mysterious to anyone on the show.” While he didn’t expand on those reasons, the shade on the actress was evident. Chuck Lorre’s Charlie Sheen fallout shaped his approach to casting Anna Faris on Mom In Sitcom, The Big Bang Theory creator also talked in detail about why he wasn’t sold on casting the House Bunny actress in his hit CBS comedy, even though Faris was the studio’s first choice to play the recovering alcoholic Christy in Mom. “I wasn’t sure Anna would be appropriate for this kind of material,” Lorre explained in the memoir, before explaining that his fallout with Charlie Sheen shaped his approach to casting Faris. He added, “Then I thought about how badly I’d bungled my working relationship with Charlie Sheen.” Changing his mind after this realization about the former star of his smash-hit Two and a Half Men series, the showrunner then wrote, “Someone’s personal life is none of my business. The mom in Mom would be, and should be, Anna Faris.” Even though he later added that his decision to cast Faris wasn’t the best one from him, Lorre still expressed pride in the show he and his co-creators were able to make. He penned,

Avengers’ Josh Brolin Addresses if Thanos Could Defeat Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom

Robert Downey Jr. will portray Victor von Doom in the upcoming Avengers films. Brolin, who played Thanos in two major MCU films, has now weighed in on a potential matchup between them. In an interview with Polygon at New York Comic Con 2026, Brolin was asked whether Thanos could defeat Downey’s Doctor Doom. Brolin said, “I don’t know. Any confrontation with Downey, I like the idea of it. I love that he’s doing that, by the way. I can’t wait to see it.” Although he did not offer a verdict on who would win, he expressed excitement about Downey’s casting as the MCU’s next main villain. Some MCU fans think Josh Brolin’s Thanos will show up in Avengers: Secret Wars Thanos’ potential return has become a subject of fan speculation ahead of Avengers: Secret Wars. One reason is the character’s encounter with Doctor Doom in Marvel Comics’ 2015 Secret Wars storyline. In the comic, Doom gains the Beyonders’ powers and rules Battleworld as God Emperor Doom. When Thanos challenges his authority, Doom kills him by tearing out his spine and skull. The confrontation highlights Doom’s immense strength and has fueled speculation about whether the MCU could recreate the scene. In a Reddit discussion about the possibility, one fan wrote, “I really wanna see Dr Doom ripping out Thanos’ skeleton.” However, Marvel Studios has not confirmed the fan theory or revealed whether Josh Brolin will return as Thanos in any upcoming film. If Marvel adapts the moment, it could provide a striking demonstration of Doom’s power. For now, further casting announcements and story details will determine whether the two characters share the screen. Avengers: Doomsday opens i
