BAGANBAZAR GRAPHSource-attributed newsSPORTS deskNuno Espirito Santo said his West Ham side are still building momentum after their win over Championship leaders Swansea City. The Hammers moved up to second in the league, just a point behind Swansea, after a 1-0 victory on Saturday. Divine Mukasa was the match-winner for West Ham, slamming in from near the penalty spot after a clever pass from Mohamadou Kante. It was a tight contest, with the Hammers edging the expected goals (xG) battle 1.2 to 1.0, though Swansea failed to get any of their 11 attempts on target. Swansea's main threat came from set-pieces, with such situations responsible for 0.9 of their xG, but Nuno was pleased with what he saw from West Ham. "I think the players did a very good job. Overall, a very good performance, organised, creating chances, also we had luck in moments," Nuno told BBC Radio London. "It was a very entertaining game, very intense; it was a nice football match. "There were some amazing saves, maybe because of my past [as a goalkeeper] I always credit them, but they were some amazing saves [from Lawrence Vigouroux]. "I think we are building momentum. The table is important but more important is how we keep improving. I still believe there are a lot of things we should have done better." Elsewhere in the Championship, Middlesbrough failed to go top after being held to a 2-2 draw with Cardiff City. Boro did find themselves 2-0 down at half-time, but Tommy Conway and Will Lankshear scored after the break to salvage a draw. The post West Ham still ‘building momentum’ after crucial win over Swanse

This was the second time in five months that Dubois has defeated Wardley but, after their fight of the year contender in May, he unleashed a shockingly one-sided shellacking. After two minutes and 21 seconds of round two, Wardley was rescued from the bludgeoning fists of Dubois by the referee, just as the fluttering white towel of his trainer, Ben Davison, sailed over the ropes in surrender. Davison had been on the brink of throwing in the towel at the very end of the opening round but the bell sounded to end a disastrous first three minutes for Wardley. He was dropped heavily after just 17 seconds as Dubois landed a left cross followed by a pulverising right hand. Continue reading...
