Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): AYUSH colleges will have to appoint new teachers within three months to replace any teaching faculty who have left their posts. If the vacancy is not filled within this time frame or if there is a delay, the institution will be liable to pay a financial penalty - either three times the teacher's salary or a monthly fine determined by the Medical Assessment and Rating Board for Indian System of Medicine (MARBISM). The order has been issued by MARBISM.The commission has clarified that institutions often hire teaching faculty solely to secure recognition for a specific academic session and dismiss them once recognition is granted; the commission has also indicated that action will be taken against such institutions.Dr Rakesh Pandey, national spokesperson for the AYUSH Medical Association, stated that there are 39 Ayurved colleges and four Unani colleges in Madhya Pradesh. The concrete steps taken by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi, will improve the teaching system in ASU medical colleges. Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): Ganesh idols were immersed across the city on Friday on Anant Chaturdashi amid devotion and religious fervour, with the Ujjain Municipal Corporation (UMC) making special arrangements to protect water bodies and facilitate devotees.The UMC arranged collection and safe immersion of idols at major ghats and immersion sites, including Hira Mill Kund. Special vehicles collected idols brought by devotees to Hira Mill Kund. After rituals and worship, the idols were transported to KD Palace for immersion at the designated site.Separate vehicles and collection facilities were provided for worship materials and 'nirmalya' to prevent them from being released directly into water bodies.Waterproof tents were installed at Hira Mill Kund for devotees in view of weather conditions. Devotees performed rituals and 'aarti' before handing over the idols for immersion. UMC teams monitored the arrangements throughout the event.Clay idol immersed in eco-friendly mannerThe Lokmanya Tilak Ganeshotsav Maha Ayojan Samiti also marked Anant Chaturdashi with an environment-friendly immersion. Under the leadership of committee convenor and MLA Anil Jain Kaluheda, the clay Ganesh idol installed at the MLA's office was worshipped and immersed in a large vessel.After the idol dissolved, the water was used for watering plants. Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): The High Court on Friday directed the State government to grant 11 forest guards full pay during their probation period in accordance with its Oct 31, 2025 order.The petitioners had challenged a condition in their appointment orders providing 70%, 80% and 90% of minimum pay during the first three years of service.The State government opposed the petition, submitting that High Court orders granting full pay during probation were under challenge before the Supreme Court.
