EU fines Google €403 million for improperly using location data

However, the eight-year delay drew some criticism, as the European Consumer Organisation said that "can be as harmful as no enforcement at all".

The Naira extended its depreciation against the US dollar at the official foreign exchange market on Thursday. ‘I’m not sure I’ll be alive by 2027 election’ – Peter Obi

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has expressed concern about his safety ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying he is not certain he will be alive by the time of the election. Obi made the statement during an interview on Arise TV on Thursday. The former Anambra governor said he had been petitioned and investigated in different places. He added that he was unsure of what could happen to him. “As I speak to you, I have also petitioned, I’ve been investigated everywhere. I still hear that I’m not even sure whether I’ll still be alive at the end of this,” he said. Obi said he was relying on God for protection and appealed to politicians to allow a peaceful and democratic environment ahead of the elections. “I’m praying to God for His protection because at this stage, I’m not sure what is happening,” he added.
