For decades, Fuji-Haya Electric has supported the country’s power protection and distribution requirements through reliable electrical solutions backed by engineering expertise, local manufacturing capabilities, and internationally recognized standards. Its continued participation in IIEE reflects its commitment to advancing electrical safety, reliability, and innovation. This year, Fuji-Haya Electric brings forward the message “Get Smart. Be Future Ready.” — a commitment to electrical systems designed not only for today’s requirements, but also for tomorrow’s demands. As industries and infrastructure become increasingly connected and technology-driven, intelligent electrical solutions play an essential role in creating safer, more efficient, and resilient operations. At the core of Fuji-Haya Electric’s capabilities are its Fully Type-Tested Medium- and Low-Voltage Switchgear, locally engineered for proven safety, reliability, and performance. Fully Type-Tested in internationally recognized third-party laboratories, these systems demonstrate the company’s commitment to dependable power protection for demanding electrical applications. At IIEE 2026, Fuji-Haya will highlight its Ring Main Unit (RMU), Smart Fully Type-Tested Low-Voltage Switchgear (LVSG), Smart Panelboards, Smart ERC-Certified Meters, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Capacitor Bank, and Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Visitors can also discover its patented Arc Relief Device Technology, designed to enhance
The Philippine Air Force is set to strengthen its Black Hawk helicopter training capabilities with new flight simulators and virtual maintenance systems that use digital-twin technology to replicate aircraft operations and keep training aligned with fleet upgrades. The Department of National Defense signed a direct commercial sale contract with Lockheed Martin for a full-motion flight simulator, a virtual maintenance trainer and associated courseware for the S-70 Black Hawk fleet, the US defense technology company said in a statement. The contract also covers sustainment and spare parts support through August 2028, as the air force establishes its own training capabilities for pilots and maintenance personnel. The full-motion simulator replicates the sights and sensations of flying a Black Hawk, while the virtual maintenance trainer provides interactive simulations of aircraft systems, including hydraulics and avionics, allowing maintenance personnel to practice procedures in a virtual environment. Lockheed Martin Rotary Training Architect Reggie Price said the company’s training devices range from desktop trainers to fully immersive virtual environments, all designed to keep pace with changes to the aircraft. “As the OEM of the Black Hawk, we combine our extensive knowledge of the aircraft with domain expertise in modeling and simulation to provide pilots, operators, and maintainers with the most realistic training experiences available,” Mr. Price said in a statement. He said keeping the training devices aligned with the aircraft’s configuration and updates was important to ensuring the systems remained relevant to operational requirements. Chris Flaws, Lockheed Martin Rotary Training Engineering Project Manager said digital-twin technology allows the company to creat
The Philippine Fiber Industry Development Authority (PhilFIDA) is developing an online marketplace to connect local farmers and fiber processors with domestic and international buyers, as the government seeks to expand the use of Philippine fibers and address bottlenecks in processing, its executive director said during the 16th Likhang Habi Market Fair in Makati City on Friday. PhilFIDA Executive Director Arnold I. Atienza said the platform, targeted for launch in January 2027, would allow farmers and processors to list raw materials and finished products, making it easier for buyers to source Philippine fibers directly from producers. “We have more than enough raw materials and, to be honest, more than enough demand, both locally and globally. The question is processing,” Mr. Atienza said. He cited 80 metric tons of cotton stored across four production plants, saying many textile makers were unaware that the raw material was available locally. He also said the Philippines supplied 87% of the global abaca market but used only 10% of its raw materials, pointing to opportunities to expand the commercial use of local fibers. The platform would help farmers and processors reach buyers without having to go through a government agency, Mr. Atienza said. PhilFIDA plans to train processors to list their products and promote the platform to international markets. He also highlighted efforts to train farmers’ wives to make bags from local materials, including school bags that could potentially compete with imported products. One bag took two days to produce but was being sold for only ₱350, he said, underscoring the need for producers to receive fair compensation for their labor. Mr. Atienza said the government should support private-sector investments in processing rather than
