2GO, SMX launch centralized events logistics service

2GO GROUP, Inc. has partnered with SMX Convention Center, Central Business Park (CBP), and SM Estates to establish a centralized permit-processing and logistics service for events at SMX Convention Center and the Mall of Asia Complex. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding to establish 2GO-SMX Events Logistics, which will serve as a single point of contact for permit processing and logistics coordination, 2GO said in a statement on Tuesday. “Through this partnership, we are consolidating permit processing as an integrated end-to-end solution and a single point of contact for permit processing. This enables exhibitors and organizers to move cargo more efficiently and with greater confidence,” 2GO Forwarding Business Unit Head Faye Alonzo said. Under the agreement, 2GO will facilitate permit applications on behalf of contractors, coordinate endorsements with SM Estates, and process submissions with CBP, the company said. 2GO will also provide logistics services for event setup and pull-out activities within SMX Convention Center. The company said the arrangement is intended to reduce administrative work and delays for event organizers, contractors, exhibitors, and service providers. 2GO is a transportation, logistics, and distribution company under SM Investments Corp., which holds a 67.2% effective ownership interest in the company. — Ashley Erika O.
