10-Year-Old Boy Dies At Hamidia Hospital After Swing Rope Accident In Bhopal

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A 10-year-old boy died at Hamidia Hospital on Thursday evening, a day after a swing rope accidentally got entangled around his neck while he was at his home in Chandan Nagar under Chhola Mandir police station limits.According to reports, Lavkumar Namdev and his wife work in the private sector. Namdev's son Tejaswi, a Class 5 student, was alone at home at the time of the incident while his parents were away at work. His younger sister, who was at a neighbour's home, returned after some time and found the swing rope entangled around her brother's neck. She immediately raised an alarm.Hearing her cries, neighbours rushed to the spot and alerted the family. The boy was rescued and taken to Hamidia Hospital, where he remained under treatment for a day before succumbing on Thursday. Chhola police registered a case and handed over the body to the family after a post-mortem. Police said the family was too grief-stricken to record statements. While he and his friends were dancing and celebrating, some Holi colour splashed onto a passing loaded pickup van. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Rahul Lodhi, got extremely enraged as the colours fell on his vehicle. The driver stopped the pickup van and confronted the group of friends.The verbal argument quickly turned violent. In a fit of rage, the driver drove his vehicle directly at Shailendra Singh, running him over and dragging him under the vehicle for nearly 200 to 300 metres before fleeing the scene. Shailendra sustained critical internal injuries and was rushed to a nearby private hospital by his friends. Bhopal CA Intermediate Results 2026: 251 Candidates Pass, Kunal Ramnani Tops With 71% Marks

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced the results for the CA Intermediate Examination on Thursday, recording an overall pass percentage of 25.80%. Out of the 973 candidates who appeared at the Bhopal centre, 251 cleared the examination, which was held in September.Kunal Ramnani secured the top position in the city's merit list by scoring 426 out of 600 marks (71.00%), followed by Harshvardhan Singh Thakur in second place with 413 marks, Arshita Pali in third with 404 marks, Rishita Arora in fourth with 402 marks and Chaitanya Shakya taking fifth place with 395 marks.According to figures released by the Bhopal branch under the Central India Regional Council (CIRC) of ICAI, 92 out of 426 candidates cleared Group 1 only (21.60%), while 65 out of 240 candidates passed Group 2 only (27.08%). Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Passengers raised concerns over their safety and the security of their goods in trains during 'Jan Samwad' before Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Pankaj Tyagi on Thursday.Passengers raised serious concerns over safety during train journeys. A passenger was manhandled and beaten by pantry vendors from the Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Yesvantpur AC Duronto Express at Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Bhopal. Normally, such altercations happen in trains with vendors and pantry staff. They also pointed out that the parcel room is locked after 5 pm and goods remain dumped outside after 5 pm, raising concerns over their security.Passengers demanded arrangements for snacks and refreshments in case of train delays.
